UPDATE :)

Just thought i'd write a little something..
Me and Dan finished putting on the voiceover, but if the others feel it is not quite right, we'll let them change it..
Also, we've done a couple evaluation questions which means we can get on with filming them. We will be doing this during the next week. Hopefully we will be able to finally get everything done and be happy with it :)

School Again

Today me and Charlotte have come in to finish off the voiceover. We got a male teacher (Mr Morrison) to do our voiceover and were uploading it to imovie. We will then cut it to make it tie in with the shots. And we hope to get a couple more evaluation questions done.

What we've done today..

Me and Charlotte could not find a male teacher to use for our voiceover so we will be coming in tomorrow to get someone to do it for us then. Today, we have finished the title cards, edited it a bit more and also started on our evaluation questions. Throughout the rest of the holidays we will finish off the evaluation questions and then go onto filming them so we can get it all done.

Easter- School?

Me and Charlotte have decided to finish off the project and give up our free time to come in when we could be revising in the sun! Sophie couldn't make it today because she is on holiday in Cyprus and not sure a bout Olly Seldis. Today we hope to finish off our voiceover and make title cards and tackle some evaluation questions.

Voice over .. again!

During my study today I have been working on getting the voiceover completed in order to allow the person who will be reading it some time to read through it and check if it best fits our thriller opening. We have decided to go with the sense of having a demon inside the person who is taking the girls. We feel that we have come up with a good voiceover that will hopefully fit in with the length of our thriller opening. If not, then we will add to it later in our last lesson and then add it to the opening.

I will do an update later to say how far we have come along.

Voice over

Forgot in the previous post. We are going to get Mr Loe or Mr Morrison whoever is most approachable and has the free time to do our voice over. Charlotte browsed the internet for some ideas and she came up with some in her own words that are very good and go along with the film. Me and Sophie today planned today where the words will be said coinciding with the film e.g. 'death trap' will be said slowly on the picture of the girl who is trapped.

Progress- Nearly Done!

In the theory lesson today in the second half of it we worked on our coursework as the deadline was approaching closely. So Olly just finished of the music. Me, Sophie and Charlotte filmed some more which was the planning of the murder which involved newspaper cuttings which have similar connotations of a psychological thriller e.g. murder, death and jail.

Me and Sophie stayed after school and done the rest of the filming. We then uploaded them on to the Mac and edited all the shots, we made significant progress today and now feel more confident about meeting our deadline.

Tomorrow we are all going to meet in first period as Me and Olly have a study and Charlotte and Sophie said they could get out of their coursework lesson as they have both completed their portfolios. We are going to edit and start answering some of the evaluation questions. We then feel we can comfortably meet tomorrow's deadline in third period.

Another update :)

Today, me and Sophie stayed after school to do some final pieces to our filming. We couldn't edit today because the room was being used for parents evening but we will definitely be getting on with this over the next two days!! Also, tomorrow we will be getting Mr. Loe to do our voiceover which we came up with a few ideas for today.. :)

just thought i'd do an update :)

The other night, me and Sophie did some more filming where we filmed some key pieces for our opening, such as a man walking up to the scrapbook and pulling it out of a draw, a close-up of a tally and also some surrounding pieces of the setting.

The scrapbook is a significant part of the opening because it holds all of the planning for the murders/kidnaps and also has pictures and information about the people he has taken. This will be filmed  very soon! When we edit we will do some shots of a girl tied to a chair and then quickly go to a shot of the pictures in the scrapbook. Also, the close-up of the tally will be pieced together with a voiceover which will link all of the shots together. The voiceover will say something along the lines of "I've been waiting for my ninth..." This will help the audience to piece all of the shots together and understand that the tally is linked in with the man's next victim. (This will all become clearer when we've finished editing) !

Also, the boys have been getting together some answers to the evaluation questions so we can get on with that and hopefully get our opening and our evaluation finished by the deadline.

Update!

After havign a last minute change in our idea we are now rushed to get it completed. We have filmed the majority of it, with only a few more shots to include in order to bring it together. however we also have to plan and film and edit our evaluation at the same time of editing our opening together.

As our thriller opening is being changed, there will need to be a change of music, myself and Dan are working on this in lesson. There is a certain mood in which the opening portrays, we will need to incorporate this into our film. There is an erie setting in which we will be using minor and low key music. After creating music for our original there is quite a bit of this which can be integrated into the music for our new opening. Olly x
